Web Information

The Content Management System (CMS) currently in use on campus is Drupal.  Drupal can be used for the following types of websites:

  • Departmental sites
  • Faculty sites
  • Research sites

Web addresses can only contain one level for the sub domain (example: http://mywebsite.okstate.edu, the 'mywebsite' part of the address is the sub domain).

Research URLs and Faculty site URLs should reflect the name of the group or reearch focus.

Drupal is for unsecured web content only.  If you have a web site that requires a log in, contact OSU IT for help (helpdesk@okstate.edu).

Drupal should not be used for web sites related to academic courses.  D2L (Online Classroom) is the avenue to present class material.  Contact ITLE.

OSU has a Web Developers Group.  A wealth of information, including the Drupal User Guide and training schedule, is provided on their web site.

Student Organization Websites

Student organization websites are located on CampusLink.  The websites on CampusLink can be managed by the student organization’s officers. Students who need assistance managing their organization’s site (uploading documents, setting up elections, creating events on the flyerboard, creating online webforms etc.) can contact the Student Organization/Campus Link Graduate Teaching Assistant at campuslink@okstate.edu or 405-744-5486 or 405-744-8045, or contact Fran Gragg at fran.gragg@okstate.edu.
